What Did Students Do?

On Thursday, September 18, our Grade 5 students participated in AMA Patrol training. This training was an important opportunity for students to learn about the role of the AMA School Safety Patrol team and what it means to be a leader in our school community.

During the session, students explored the responsibilities of being a patrol member, including keeping others safe, modeling positive behavior, and communicating clearly with others. They also learned about the key qualities needed to be an effective patrol, such as responsibility, teamwork, respect, and confidence.

Students also had the chance to practice the commands and procedures that patrol members use every day. This hands-on experience helped them understand how to work together, give clear signals, and stay calm and focused while on duty.

The training encouraged students to think about how leadership is not just about giving directions, but about setting a good example and working together to keep everyone safe.

Important Info:
Please remember to sign and have your child bring their AMA Patrol permission form back to school by Wednesday the 24th.
Below is an upcoming event that is available for patrollers. See poster below. This event is organized by AMA. School staff will not be in attendance. Please note: Patroller cards have yet to be received. Once these arrive, they will be distributed. Please use the paper copy until then.
